The sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth marks of a good preacher are, for Luther,
6) that he should know when to stop,
7) he should be certain and diligent in his subject,
8) and he should put his life, limb, possessions and honour into it,
9) the good preacher should be willing to accept ridicule from everyone.
